Proverbs 4 V18-19 From: June Ritchie 05 Aug 2011 (13:10)
But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. The way of the wicked is as darkness; they know not at what they stumble.

Was pondering the character within this morning and last night to look at what darkness of sin does to the believer. Satan puts on us a trap of darkness and too often we refuse to look at it and recognise that it is actually darkness we allow to remain in us. And so WE STUMBLE! Stumbling brings failure into lifeas a dsciple. Who needs failure? We have to follow Christ the Light! He did not stumble and He did not fail, but faced the truth and refused the darkness of error wherever it appeared.
We are called to be light and we are to have characters of honour and integrity before other people. But in order to do that we have to let go of- or refuse anything come into our lives that contains the darkness of the world.
But some sins give pleasure and that\'s fact so we fight to keep them.
In order to keep them we have to ignore the fact that they are there and that they are sins taken in from within the world\'s habits. Yet in jesus Christ we are called to be NOT OF THE WORLD
By turning from the things of the world we we gain the approval of God.
But not the approval of the world for it dislikes those it sees as goody goodys. Which do we want to be? Man approval- God approval?
Followers of the Lord and His ways? - or followers of the world and its pleasures? . Simple really If we just measure all we do by the cross that shows up the darkness if we seek to recognise it. And if we refuse to then we stumble and thats SAD. Lord keep me from it. Amen.
