MEETING WITH MUSLIMS From: TREFLYN JONES 25 May 2011 (09:15)
I have a friend whom I have known for over 30 years. We met when we were both attanding a Karate Club in Manchester, training under the then England Karate Team Manager Roy Stanhope.

My friend is now a Muslim and lives in the Oldham area. I have met with him a couple of times at his Muslim Centre in Oldham and we have had an open and polite discussion about our faiths.

Last night (Tuesday 24th May 2011) I met him again and this time a couple of my Christian friends came with me and we sat with the Muslims (about 12 of them imcluding children) and again had an open and very polite discussion. I intend to make this a regular weekly visit and they are even considering the possiblity of putting on a meal for us at the centre.

The opportunity to witness to them is good and the opportunity to listen to their viewpoint also helps us when we witness.

If anyone would like to attend with me to share in the experience and opportunity to witness to them I would like to hear from you. Please be very aware that this is not going to be an opportunity to argue, but to listen, learn and share.

If anyone has any thoughts or advice on this I welcome your replies.

Many thanks

Yours in Jesus

an opportunity  From: June Ritchie 26 May 2011 (11:41)
treflyn food for thought here! seems like a God opportunity not just to witness but to do some integrating as well which is one of the big problem issues of it all seems that God has given you an open door as well as showing you His favour on this GO FOR IT bro! I will pray that only right people volunteer for the wrong people not chosen by God could actually mess it up and offend. If its what God wants there will be results am sure and we\'ll all rejoice with you.

I was given different opportunities to witness to Muslims. I work a lot with Arab states in my normal business. The first thing to say is that genuine Muslims are lovely people. The main thing that stands out to me it that they have respect for other faiths.

Some Muslims don’t live as faithful Muslims do and live secular lives.

One of my best friends is a Muslim. One day I had a word of knowledge about him being upset because his right tyre of his 4-wheel drive had a puncture. Another incident was with our main sales person. We were about to sell a product into Egypt and God gave me a scripture not to deal with them.

I shared this with the director of the company involved and he passed this as a message from me, as a prophet, to the sales person.

Incidentally we provided a pray mat for him at the office.

He stopped the deal, which would, we found out, produced a disaster.

When I was blind not only did my Christian friends pray for my healing but also strong Roman Catholics lit a candle on a shrine for me. Also our Muslim sales man prayed for me. The result is that my eyesight improved 1000% and now I can see to drive and write this!

I went to a Muslim area of 1000,000 Muslims in Uganda recently. People where drawn to receive Christ, not through preaching but simply came running to receive Christ. I must admit I was not comfortable in that area because initially it was very demonically oppressive but gradually changed.

Now I have been invited to Pakistan. I used to attend a Pakistanis church in Luton. What happens on mission, and this includes places like communist and Hindu countries are that people try to take my life. Being afraid is not an option.

But like with Jesus and Paul you can be protected.

MEETING WITH MUSLIMS Tuesday 7th June 2011  From: TREFLYN JONES 09 Jun 2011 (08:22)
When I net with the Mulsims on the 24th May I left them with some of the DVDs we have produced for TaskJesus. I received a phone call from my friend (I have known him for over 30 years before he became a muslim) teling me that he had watched the DVDs and found Les Deane\'s testimony really fantastic. He was really excited about it. (THIS IS ON TESTIMONIES 5 DVD - available FREE from the FREE RESOURCES on this website)

He wanted me to bring Les Deane to meet them and asked if he would speak about his experiences and give his testimony.

On Tuesday 7th June 2011 I took my friend Les Deane to their mulsim centre in Oldham. (Les used it be a criminal and a member of the most notorious 60\'s London gang, he spent years in prison and then on the road as a tramp) There were approx 12 young Muslims aged between 12 and 18 years old who were absoluteley transfixed as Les gave his testimony. When Les was speaking you could have heard a pin drop, no-one interrupted or made any snide remarks. They were extremely respectful. It was amazing to think that the Lord had opened up the door for Les to give his Christian Testimony to muslims. There were adult muslims there as well. Afterwards they provided food for us and we had a friendly exchange of beleifs which we both found interesting.

They have asked me to bring other Christians to meet and speak to them…

This will now become a regular weekly or fortnightly event.

If anyone would like to attend with me to share in the experience and opportunity to witness to them I would like to hear from you, please get in touch via the TaskJesus messaging system.

Please be very aware that this is not going to be an opportunity to argue, but to listen, learn and share.

If anyone has any thoughts or advice on this I welcome your replies.

Many thanks

Meeting with Muslims in Oldham, Tuesday 14th June 2011  From: TREFLYN JONES 14 Jun 2011 (22:39)
Had a great meeting tonight with the Muslims.

I went with Pastor Ayo Oderinde and a Chrsitian friend of ours (not yet a member of TaskJesus) called Mary Lou.

Upon arrival Mary Lou spoke to one of the Muslim women who told Mary Lou that she had converted from Christianity to Islam. Mary Lou then gave her testimony of how whe was separated from her Mother as a young child, was taken into care, abused by the system and made to feel really worthless by her carers. She went to court to give evidence again what they had done to her and told the court that Jesus had told her to forgive them. Mary Lou became a Christian when she attended an FGB meeting about 8 years ago. She now works as a consultant on the prayerline for the 700 Club and also does street ministry with her church in Manchester.

We had a liveley discussion about Jesus being the Son of God and how we are reconcilled to the Father through his death on the cross and his ressurection.

I will be meeting with them again next Tuesday 21st June.

If anyone would like to attend with me to share in the experience and opportunity to witness to them I would like to hear from you. Please be very aware that this is not going to be an opportunity to argue, but to listen, learn and share.

If anyone has any thoughts or advice on this I welcome your replies.

Many thanks

MEETING WITH MUSLIMS Tuesday 21st June 2011  From: TREFLYN JONES 22 Jun 2011 (07:19)
As planned we met with the muslims in Oldham on Tuesday 21st June 2011.
This time there was only one muslim and three Christians, myself, Mary Lou (who came with me last week) and her ChrIstian friend Barbara.

Over the weeks we have been able to speak openly about our beliefs, never arguing or disrespecting each others belief system.

It\'s amazing how God has engineered our meetings to enable us to share the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The muslim approach is to find common ground on things which Christains and muslims agree on. They look upon the Quorhan as God\'s correction to the Bible as they beleive it became corrupt over the years caused by translations. We know that isn\'t the case. They have no guarantee of salvation but rely upon acumulating good works/deeds which hopefully will ammount to sufficient to allow them to enter the Kingsom of heaven.

I wouild encourage anyone to come and share the opportunity which God has created for the continuance of sharing his message, the Jesus Christ is the way the truth and the light. (could go on and on here).............

I shall be meeting with them again next Tuesday the 28th June 2011, if anyone would like to accompany me, no pressure to speak if you don\'t want to; be a fly on the wall; if you have a testimony of what God has done in your life (which glorifies Jesus - it\'s not about us!)I invite you to join me.

If you are not able to come because of distance or other committments I ask that you continue to pray that the Holy Spirit will have his way in their lives and that we are covered by the blood of the lamb at all times.

Please be very aware that this is not going to be an opportunity to argue, but to listen, learn and share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

If anyone has any thoughts or advice on this I welcome your replies.

Many thanks

MEETING WITH MUSLIMS Tuesday 28th June 2011  From: TREFLYN JONES 29 Jun 2011 (16:42)
This week I was acompnaied by Comedian and friend to the famous CHARLIE HALE.

There were 7 youngsters between the ages of 10 and 18 and 3 adults including my muslim friend Ossie Rowe.

This is not a meeting where they sit in rows of chairs and the person speaking stands out in front. We meet in the reception of the Muslim Centre in Oldham, and we sit on couches and easy chairs. It\'s a very relaxed and informal exchange of views and a real opportunity to witness the reality of what Jesus has done for us. Charlie was made welcome and he spoke about his life as a young footballer with Manchester City, his work as a stand up comedian before he was born again and how he travels around with famous sports personalities during their after dinner speaking engagements.

The Muslims beleive in Jesus as a prophet but not as the son of GOD.

They beleive that the Quhoran was written by the prophet Mohamed with words given to him by GOD to correct the errors of the Bible which they beleive has become corrupt. The evening progressed with many exchanges of viewpoints.

Charlie Hale asked Ossie if he could pray for him and asked Ossie to pray for Charlie. The prayers were very different with Ossie reading his from the Quohran and Charlie relying totally upon the Holy Spirit. God gave Charlie a WORD OF KNOWLEDGE for Ossie, but Ossie said it didn\'t mean anything to him!

The opportunity to witness to them is wonderful, and they will listen but they do have stock answers to awkward questions or facts which they have chosen to disregard. The same question whenever asked generates the same stock answer.

This is an ongoing opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with these people, we will never convince them with argument or smart talk. I ask that you please pray in the name of Jesus for a mighty move of God on these poor lost people. We must always show that we have a loving and forgiving nature and behave towards them exactly as Jesus would.

I feel that the time is coming when I will be asking an ex-muslim who has converted to Christianity to accompany me to speak with them, that should be very interesting.

If anyone would like to attend with me to share in the experience and opportunity to witness to them I would like to hear from you. Please be very aware that this is not going to be an opportunity to argue, but to listen, learn and share.

If anyone has any thoughts or advice on this I welcome your replies.

Many thanks

MEETING WITH MUSLIMS Tuesday 5th July 2011  From: TREFLYN JONES 06 Jul 2011 (12:54)
This weeks meeting was with 4 muslims and a Christian freind and Pastor Ayo Oderinde. One of their elders of the mosque was amongst the 4 muslim.

Again we spoke openly about how Jesus is the only way to Heaven and that there is no alternative outside of being born again and living a righteous and holy life.

The muslims referred once again to their belief in the quohran as being the corrected words of God to bring about the lost truth of the Bible which they say is not accurate as it has become corrupt over the years.

We asked them about what the quohran says about Jesus, it covers the immaculate conception but no mention of Joseph or being born in Bethlehem in a stable. Birth according to the quorhan took place at a palm tree!!

We then asked them to read from the quohran about the ministry of Jesus, this they had great difficulty in finding any actual specific teachings, but they read out from the quhoran a passage which said that those who follow the teachings of Jesus are superior. They could not however refer or locate any specific teachings.

Other issues realting to God\'s will for our lives, the work and appointment of prophets etc were discussed and openly shared. They accepted booklets relating to the sacrifice made by Jesus on the cross and his ressurection. Which again does not appear in the quhoran, they believe Jesus was not crucified but taken up by God.

I do beleive that by witnessing to them about healing, miracles, testimonies and our real relationship with the Father, Jesus and the Holy spirit will bear witness to them that we have a reality of a real relationship with God and an assurity of eternal life with the Father in Heaven, whereas they rely purely on hope through works and deeds.

Last week I messaged two ex-muslims (who are members of TaskJesus) who have converted to Christianity to accompany me to speak with them, but they never replied.

If anyone would like to attend with me to share in the experience and opportunity to witness to them I would like to hear from you. You can if you want just come along and sit as a silent observer. Please be very aware that this is not an opportunity to argue,(we keep everything very civilised and avoid arguments) but to listen, learn and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

If anyone has any thoughts or advice on this I welcome your replies.

Many thanks

Yours in Jesus

MEETING WITH MUSLIMS  From: TREFLYN JONES 16 Sep 2011 (14:57)
Things came to a head after the last meeting on the 5th July 2011, when I received a phone call from my Muslim friend asking me to put these meetings on hold. He told me that there was some jealousy amongst the muslims that he was bringing Christians in to speak with them.

I have spoken with him since then and he said we can re-commence the meetings soon. It would be good to have some positive feedback on this from the TaskJesus members, in fact few have made any attempt or volunteered themselves to be available to speak with and to these muslims. These muslims are unsaved (obviously) and they need to be told the truth to set them free.

The location of the meeting is in the Oldham area. (North East Manchester)

Please pray about this.

Many thanks.
