WHY ME From: David Dawson 17 Sep 2010 (14:34)
[HEB 11; Men of Faith]
Heb 11:35 Women received their dead raised to life again, and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection.
Heb 11:36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings; yes, more, of bonds and imprisonments.
Heb 11:37 They were stoned, they were sawed in two, were tempted, were slain with the sword. They wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, tormented.
Heb 11:38 The world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains and dens and caves of the earth.
Heb 11:39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, did not receive the promise,
Heb 11:40 for God had provided some better thing for us, that they should not be made perfect without us.

When we go through pain and tribulation, many times we say \'WHY ME\' and feel God has turned His back on us, and feel Father is to busy helping people more worse off than me.[which is a lie from satan]

Dear saints let us face reality we do live in a evil world full of sufferring.
But GOD IS STILL IN CONTROL.
Throughout the generations and presently, God allows some christians to be matyrs and allows some to survive through persecution.

SO DEAR FRIENDS INSTEAD OF SAYING \'WHY ME\'? PROBABLY WE SHOULD BE SAYING \'WHY NOT ME\'?

WE MUSTNT FORGET OUR FAITH AND CHRISTIAN VALUES ARE ON A COLLISION COURSE WITH EVIL AND THE WORLD.

Many have personal experiences of pain and sufferring, but if we expect pain and sufferring we wouldnt be shocked when it comes.

BUT WE CAN TAKE GREAT COMFORT KNOWING JESUS SUFFERRED ALSO.

Isa 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a Man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as it were a hiding of faces from Him, He being despised, and we esteemed Him not.
Isa 53:4 Surely He has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
Isa 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was on Him; and with His stripes we ourselves are healed.

Mar 15:34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? (which being translated is, My God, My God, why did You forsake Me?)

JESUS FULLY UNDERSTANDS OUR FEARS AND WEAKNESSES.

Heb 2:17-18 [ALT] Therefore, it was necessary [for] Him to become like His brothers [and sisters] in all [respects], so that He should become a merciful and faithful High Priest [in] the [things pertaining] to God, [in order] to make propitiation [or, an appeasing sacrifice] for the sins of the people.
For He Himself having been tempted in what He suffered, He is able to help the ones being tempted.
Heb 4:15-16 [ALT] For we do not have a High Priest [who is] unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but [One] having been tried in all [respects] in the same way [we are, yet] without sin.
Therefore, let us be approaching with confidence [or, a joyful sense of freedom] to the throne of grace, so that we shall receive mercy and find grace for well-timed help.

JESUS PROMISES HE WILL NEVER LEAVE US.

Mat 28:20 teaching them to observe all things, whatever I commanded you. And, behold, I am with you all the days until the end of the world. Amen.

JESUS GOES AND INTERCEDES BEFORE GOD OUR FATHER.

Heb 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

SO IN TIMES OF PAIN, PERSECUTION AND SUFFERRING WE SHOULD TRUST CONDFIDENTLY IN JESUS OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR.

1Co 10:13 [GNB] Every test that you have experienced is the kind that normally comes to people. But God keeps his promise, and he will not allow you to be tested beyond your power to remain firm; at the time you are put to the test, he will give you the strength to endure it, and so provide you with a way out[escape].

BE ENCOURAGED YOUR NOT ALONE

It takes time and inner development to get out of that place where we are drawn into the \'why me\' syndrome. As soon as you start recognise the plan of God unfolding it becomes easier to see just what He has in mind even when things seem to go wrong. Our humanness too often kicks in but thank God our father does understand and accept it He is the Comforter of the Comfortless as well as the Helper of the Helpless. Keep it in mind it keeps hope and faith well alive.
