Report from INDIA From: David Dawson 05 Sep 2013 (17:52)
A BRIEF /REPORT FROM INDIA

HI to all the saints at Task Jesus and to all our friends and supporters

I ARRIVED SAFELY, ABSOLUTELY EXHAUSTED BUT IT WAS WELL WORTH IT AND EXCELLENT MOMENT WHEN MY BELOVED VIOLET MET UP WITH ME AFTER BEING SEPARATE FOR SUCH A LONG TIME. IT WAS ALSO GOOD TO MEET UP WITH VIOLET’S FAMILY AGAIN.

Violet has silently been battling with diabetes and suffering with really bad back pain, the poor conditions of the roads have not helped, especially travelling down to the more remote rural villages, the roads and tracks are so bad in places they not even fit for carts. But this is India if there is a will there is a way.
After adjusting and familiarising myself to the weather the smells and the way of life in India is vastly different from the UK.
Violet took me to Tam Nad last weekend, where I was introduced to a Hari-krishna chap, who Violet employs to look after the property.
Like a lot of Indians they always like to get the better deal and this chap has taken advantage of Violet who was in a dilemma at that time with previous employees who were neglectful and weren’t totally honest and she had to move them on. So Violet is paying heavily to keep this chap, or at least keep one person on the land so people don't break into the place.
It is a constant worry to Violet as he is not a Christian [yet]; as of yet no-one else come forward for the work yet.

For me, personally, I've really got to put every part of my life before the Lord and strive in His Holiness to keep it there. So please pray constantly that I can continue to move in His Wisdom and Grace.

Before I left Manchester there were a lot of continuous problems affecting a lots of folk and many saying the UK is getting into a mess (which it definitely is).
But India is 1000 times worse for example the Health Service is only there to make lots of money for many unscrupulous doctors. It seems local and national government departments exist and operate by corruption. [Pyramid style].
Bribes, whether legal or illegal and goodwill gifts have to be paid to most government leaders or to the heads of departments for rubberstamping so building, housing, roads, hospitals and school projects can get the go ahead.
The administration in local government departments adopt a lethargic attitude so things don’t get done or documents mysteriously get lost it’s a picture of chaos. [Especially to the western world]
India can portray a picture of chaos which seems the whole world is heading into now.

Looking at the bigger picture the world in which we live in, absolute chaos is quickly appearing on the horizon, as everyone is forgetting and neglecting that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Saviour of our souls. The basic Christian standards based upon the Judeo-Christian Bible, King James Version. It is only through these Christian standards which can sort out and prevent chaos.

We have really got to remember, all the time, that there is absolutely no salvation for us, or anyone else, by the things of this world, at any time Roman12v2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Violet and I pray earnestly every day to the things of God and His mission work. Sometimes it can be a battle to keep focussed in our prayers there is so much distraction.
We do value all of your prayers which really do help us to overcome any stumbling blocks, whether physical, spiritual or things of this world.

Well my multi-tasked skills have already started, I’m presently spending some time getting lights and broken wires in Violet's minibus repaired, mending dents and putting on wing mirrors which careless drivers have knocked off, and re-wiring up internal fans.

RE, Christian men or women who want to experience India and assist Violet and I- there is scope for short-term visits where folk can help with by the Good Samaritan mission work by doing hands on projects implementing the things of God by action. Preaching the Gospel has to be done carefully as westerners are not allowed to bring the Word of God openly.
We have no problems providing accommodation over here. Anyone with any skills are very welcome.
PLEASE CONTACT DAVE DAWSON IF YOU NEED FURTHER HELp
